What was the spark for
Who Is This Person I Call Me?
There was more than one spark for this piece.
One came from a preteen novel I wrote, Caro's Quest. It's about Caro Carolina, 13, weird Geela Gribbs, and Fluffers, her invisible dog.

One day I wondered: if this were ever made into a film, how would it start? In my mind's eye, I saw Caro by the ocean shore, watching the waves roll in. She tosses pebbles out onto the waves. The titles start. So does the song.
Who is this person I call me?
She is longing for something to happen. Soon something will happen. An adventure that begins with the arrival of weird Geela Gribbs and her invisible dog.
There's a second spark for the song. What will I be able to make of my life? That is one of my big questions.
Will the day be boring
Will it be all doing chores
Will I, just once, touch the stars,
What kind of day will this day be?
Who is this person I call me?
Let there be glory
